Interested in going ahead with a new website design? Great!
Here’s what happens next.
First, I’ll ask you to fill out my intake form, which will ask you all kinds of questions about your new site. Don’t worry if you don’t have all the answers right away; just try to answer what you can. I’ll have a look at your project idea and I’ll give you a good idea of how long the project will take, and exactly how much it will cost. See the package list for a general idea of the kind of work that is available. I’ll also let you know when I’ll be able to work on your project – I sometimes can start right away, but other times there’s a wait of a few months.
Once we have agreed on the project’s parameters and pricing, I will send you a PayPal invoice for the work. Small design jobs (less than $200) will be billed as a whole upon completion. If it is a large project, 1/3 will be due as I begin work, and 2/3 will be due upon delivery. We’ll agree on the details and I’ll send you a (friendly!) contract to sign.
Once I’ve received your deposit (if required), I will begin work. I’ll be in almost constant contact with proposals, layout ideas, and versions for your feedback. All of my quotes include at least two major revisions, but I won’t be happy unless you’re happy.
When the site is finished, we can transfer responsibility of the site. You can choose to: take immediate full responsibility; purchase a maintenance plan from me in which I will continue to maintain and update the site as required; or take a small training session from me in which I will train you or a member of your staff on how to maintain the site.
I value my customer relationships and you won’t be left to fend for yourself! Any time you need me to answer questions, put out fires, or step in to keep things running smoothly, I’ll be there.
