Jewish Memorial Gardens is an organization in Ottawa that manages two Jewish cemeteries. I’d been doing small jobs for them for a while – fixing bugs on their site or adding a new page – but they finally decided to go ahead with a full redesign to support their big project – a revitalization of their Bank Street cemetery.
They were already running WordPress on their site, so I got to do all the fun parts – customizing their new theme, reorganizing their content, and creating a lovely and welcoming opening page. I also added a newsletter for them and a donate button for their new project.
Another cool part of this project: a new wayfinding system for their website. Now visitors to their cemeteries can look up a name and find information on their plot – all powered by WordPress.
